OP RESOLVE - High Visibility Foot Patrols in your town

This week, your Town Centre SNT have continued to engage extensively with local businesses and visitors to our Town Centre. We also had the opportunity to speak with parents and young children at Rugby Library around the importance of ‘trust in the Police’ and our efforts to keep them safe.

Our frequent patrols of the Town Centre have served to provide reassurance to many businesses who have the misfortune to experience antisocial behaviour committed by a small number of young people. We, along with our Partners and businesses are working hard to address antisocial behaviour by encouraging reporting and stepping-up high visibility foot patrols.

We completely recognise the frustration and annoyance that antisocial behaviour can cause and this is being experienced not just here in Warwickshire but nationally too. We consider all available and proportionate methods of responding to this, opting for a diversionary approach rather than the criminalisation route where appropriate
